PHASE 2

During Phase 2 having identified a site and knowing what size of building we are to construct Brackley will:
Instruct Architects – Brackley do not have in-house architects. This is a deliberate decision to ensure that the specialist primary healthcare architects that we employ are well versed in the current practice in the design of primary healthcare centres. We generally work with three specialist architects who between them have designed some 80 primary healthcare centres up and down the country ranging from single handed Practices through to a 30 GP multi occupancy building. As users you can expect our architect to take a detailed brief from you early in the process, with Brackley present, to try and understand how you want your new primary healthcare centre to operate and function. This briefing session can last from 2-3 hours through to 2-3 days, with our architects showing examples of previous work, previous drawings and photographs. The aim is to create a design that will work for you medically, efficiently and aesthetically.

Site survey. Following the identification of the site and the instruction of the architect, Brackley will commission a site utility services and levels survey to enable us to match this with the architects design.

Architect to Propose Plans. The architect during the last step in phase 2 will propose initial plans following the extensive briefing and talk the users through the design.
